About Country Club of Petersburg:

Since it´s opening in 1969, this 7,000-yard, 18-hole, par 72 golf course has been recognized as one of Virginia´s superior layouts. Originally designed by Edmund Ault in 1969 and redesigned by Lester George in 1997. Bermuda grass tees, Bent grass greens and a continuous cart path make the course well-suited to remain open year-round for walkers and riders alike. The Club has hosted numerous VSGA, USGA, and PGA events including two State Opens, State Amateur, Mid-Amateurs, State Junior, and 1998, 2002 Eastern PGA Club Professionals Championship.

The instructional program is outstanding, with a staff of PGA professionals on hand. The pros are also there to organize club tournaments of all descriptions, and to handle the full service golf shop, including custom fitting of clubs. The latest golfing apparel at competitive prices, tempts style-conscious members to the shop´s racks and shelves.
