Welcome to the official Sewells Point Golf Course Facebook Page! Sewells Point, founded in 1927 as a part of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club and was constructed by legendary course designer Donald Ross. Ross modeled Sewells Point after a few courses he designed in Scotland and to this day, his influence can be felt on every hole with only a few minor upgrades being the difference between his original design.
Sewells Point is now run by our PGA certified Head Pro/Manager Tom Dozier, who works alongside our Commanding Officer Captain Charles Melcher. Under their guidance, Sewells Point has been taken to new highs in terms of course quality; thanks to their hard work, as well as an unbelievable job by our entire Greens Crew, the course underwent a massive greens renovation, moving from bent grass onto a much more competitive Bermuda grass.
The Course itself, while being in great shape, is not the only reason to come to Sewells Point. We also offer an immensely well-stocked Pro Shop, carrying every major brand from Titleist to Taylormade, Ping to Callaway and everything in between, and can also special order most clubs as long as they are still in production. In terms of prices, we offer some of the most competitive deals in the entire area.
If you aren't looking to play or looking for merchandise, we also have high quality practice areas, including an irons-only range, a practice putting green, a larger practice green for chipping and putting, and a smaller range for practicing pitch shots.
As good as our deals are in the Pro Shop, our restaurant offers equally as good of deals. We serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner seven days a week, stop on in and grab some grub. Our restaurant also offers event catering, hosted in either the Norfolk room, our banquet hall located above the Pro Shop, or on our pavilion.
We are located conveniently just off of Terminal Boulevard. If you are coming down Terminal Blvd. via Hampton Blvd. head all the way down and we are the last turn on the left before the Interstate 564 on-ramp, or if you are coming off of the interstate, follow signs for Terminal Boulevard/Norfolk Naval Base/Old Dominion and we are the first right turn from the 564 off ramp.
