Willow Creek’s 7,096-yard course, nestled at the base of the towering Wasatch Mountains, offers spectacular country club golf. Its original design is steeped in tradition that can be traced to American golf architect Donald Ross. This traditional design has produced challenging golf, and the course is painstakingly maintained with all the advantages of modern agronomy. With a thorough understanding of the value of preserving traditions and incorporating modern technology, the course was completely renovated in 2005 under the direction of Damian Pascuzzo. The renovation’s objective was to provide the utmost in golfing enjoyment for all levels of play—from junior golf, to all levels of recreational golf, to active ladies’ programs, to truly championship challenges. The course now includes three large, dramatic water features that add to the excitement and challenge of the game, while the addition of novice tees on every hole enhances options for players ranging from the beginner whose range is still limited, to the expert who wants to play an irons-only round, for some variety.
