About James Connally Golf Course:

James Connally golf course opened in the 1955 when the James Connally Air Force base was stationed in Waco, Texas. When the base closed down in the mid 60’s they Air Force handed the land and golf course over to TSTI. TSTC James Connally is able to not only provide a entertainment service to the public but also offer a learning environment to the Golf Landscape and Management Department of TSTC. The students in the GLM program are able to come out and work out at the golf course with hands on experience, which will help further their knowledge and education as they enter the work force. It has been a great partnership between the two departments and continues to grow as the golf course and program grows.
