Located just north of Laredo, The MAX: A Robert Trent Jones Jr. Signature Design Course overlooks the Rio Grande River and has already been acclaimed as one of the best public courses in Texas! Golfers can enjoy stunning views of the Rio Grande valley throughout the course but especially on the four holes that play directly on the waterfront.

The par-72 layout sprawls across 270 acres of rugged south Texas landscape. The terrain is covered with 100-year-old mesquite trees and two vast arroyos, which were incorporated beautifully into the layout. Also, there are a variety of elevation changes across the landscape that can be challenging but the design manages to seamlessly blend dramatic features and playability. Crafted by noted architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course caters to golfers of all ability levels, with five sets of tees available and yardages ranging from 7,069 from the back tees to 4,759 for the forward tees. Tiger tees stretch to 7,297 yards while a dedicated “juniors” teeing area on each hole is incorporated to increase enjoyment for family play.
