The centerpiece of The Golf Club of Tennessee is the Tom Fazio-designed golf course. Widely acclaimed as America's preeminent modern golf course architect, Tom Fazio fashioned a masterpiece on 317 acres of Tennessee's most beautiful rolling land, in a wonderfully quiet, pastoral setting that is isolated from the busy world, and enhanced by the singing of birds, the cascading of waterfalls, and the occasional crossing of a fox or deer. Featuring zoysia tees and fairways and bent grass greens, the 7,184 yard, par 71 course sprawls over nearly twice the acreage of a traditional 18-hole course. Fazio used all of the elements of design excellence - with holes that are both strategic and penal, subtlety difficult yet player-friendly, and memorable, but not contrived.
