Hilton Head golf has a lot to offer its residents and visiting guests, and Palmetto Hall Golf and Country Club is a must-play for every golfer. Palmetto Hall features 36 holes of pristine championship golf immersed in Southern elegance and natural beauty. The beautiful Arthur Hills and Robert Cupp-designed courses are premier properties for everyone to enjoy the true Hilton Head experience.
The Arthur Hills Course at Palmetto Hall opened in 1991 to rave reviews and was almost instantly named to Golf Digest’s list as one of America’s Top 10 New Courses. Hills’ signature style is fully on display here with undulated fairways with lots of mounding wind through heavily wooded forests of moss-draped oaks and towering pines framing the fairways of many holes. Lush fairways and crystalline lakes give way to large greens and bunkers butted up against the sides, providing golfers with several challenges.
The Robert Cupp course is a stunningly original design that tests the better player and accommodates higher handicappers. Cupp, Golf World’s former Architect of the Year, opened his signature course at Palmetto Hall in 1993. Upon opening, the course had the highest slope rating from the back tees (152) of any course in the state. Despite this difficult rating from the tips, the course continues to draw high praise for its flexibility, sound shot values, and impeccable year-round conditioning.
OUTINGS: Palmetto Hall provides an outstanding facility for your golf outing or event. From groups of 12 to full course use, we can arrange and personalize our facilities and menu to satisfy your event’s specifications and needs.
