The Woodlands Country Club offers a Russell Breeden design, 18-hole Championship Golf Course that can accommodate players of all levels. The course opened in 1974 and currently has 45 bunkers, 5 water hazards, 188 total acreage, over half of which are irrigated. The average green size is 4400 square feet. The course is 6656 yards from the blue tees, rated 72.2, and the slope is 124. The course is a challenge to all players.The Woodlands has played host to many notable events including the 2003 U.S. Amateur Qualifier, the City of Columbia Golf Tournament, the 1994 & 1995 Senior Series Tour and many South Carolina Golf Association and Carolinas Golf Association Events.
Quality individual instruction is available from PGA Professionals. Ladies and Junior clinics along with video and private lessons are also available. The Woodlands Country Club and the Men’s and Ladies’ Golf Association sponsor various tournaments throughout the year. The Woodlands features active Senior’s play an organized league as well.
