Blue Ridge’s golf course first opened as a private club in 1937 as Blue Ridge Country Club. The club’s history featured an extensive search to determine who designed the Blue Ridge Course as it was unknown for decades. What they uncovered was some rich golf history linked to the club. George Morris, grand-nephew to Tom Morris who developed the Old Course at St. Andrews in to what it is today, was the architect to design the course in 1932.
