Valley Green Golf Course & Hogan’s Restaurant is situated in the heart of the York County Red Lands near the midpoint of Harrisburg and York.
Our golf course is blessed with a rich heritage. The land was part of William Penn land grant settlements from the early 1700′s. Quakers then Germans settled into the area to clear and farm the land. Later gristmills were built to provide food for the settlers and their livestock supplying the local communities and Baltimore markets. The area Red Lands provided a means to grow food for daily necessities and a few pleasantries, such as, cigars and home made spirits.
Valley Green Golf Course began life as a 9 hole Northeast style golf course in the early 1960′s. Even in its early days the course was popular with the golf community. Over the years the course has seen many changes and improvements. One of the biggest improvement to our golf course was the expansion from 9 to18 holes. This kept Valley Green Golf Course as one of the Harrisburg / York Areas top courses. The popularity of the course has always come from it’s challenges and beauty as it rises and falls in this natural setting.
