About Shawnee Country Club:
Our beautiful golf course and facility are full of history and constant improvement. In 1929, the Shawnee Golf and Country Club opened in a location slightly south of our current Clubhouse. The original nine holes were designed by Perry Maxwell. In 1980 it was time for a course re-design, though still nine holes, Bruce Devlin completed the work. Seventeen years later, the membership sold ownership of the Club to private investors. That same year, in addition to the completion of a new Clubhouse and residential development surrounding the course and the 10 acre practice facility, the golf course was again re-designed, this time by Bland Pittman, and expanded to our current 18 holes.
