Greentree Golf Club occupies a refreshingly rural parcel of Southwestern Ohio land between Cincinnati and Dayton, perfect for getting in a relaxing round, and with easy access to I-75. Enjoying the scenery at Greentree will be a far more simple task than making par, as there are no roads, no houses and no noise to take away from your surroundings.
Built in 1999, Greentree Golf Club was designed by Jodi Kinney, one of the relatively few female golf architects in the United States. The former apprentice of Michael Hurdzan, Kinney tapped into her learned experiences and natural talent to create a spectacular full-length, nine-hole course, played twice around for a full 18.
Greentree plays as one of the more difficult nines in the Greater Cincinnati area, with a length up to 3,400 yards. Its setup is "standard," with two par-3s and two par-5s for a par of 36. Because the par-5s require you to flex your power while the others require a deft touch, you'll likely reach for every club in the bag at least once. The well-rounded design of Greentree Golf Club makes it an ideal course for beginners, yet maintains enough complexity for more experienced players to enjoy.
Playing over the hilly terrain, underneath the tall, mature trees which line the fairways, it is impossible not to bask in the exceptionally peaceful surroundings. In terms of playability, the bent grass greens roll true, and the blue grass fairways are always kept in pristine condition. And if you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a deer standing watch over these graceful hills.
