4810 State Route 309,
Galion, Ohio 44833-9656
Galion Country Club is a challenging, yet couples friendly 18-hole course built on 180 acres of rolling and flat terrain. We have 24 acres of fairways, four (4) acres of tees, two and one half (2½) acres of greens, 25 bunkers, and five (5) ponds that come into play. Actually, it is two different courses in one. The front nine is a Jack Kidwell design, built in the late 1960's, with large bent grass greens and tees, bent/poa fairways, and large, heavily bunkered greens. It is fairly flat and long, with large oak trees at key spots. From the blue tees, this nine holes will challenge even the longest of hitters. The back nine was built in the late 1920's and it is a typical "old design." This side features narrow, undulating, tree lined, fairways that feed into small greens. It favors "the shot maker" as it requires accuracy over length. Golfers recognize the greens as some of the finest in north-central Ohio.
