Located inside I-270 in northwest Columbus, this Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed golf course is a rare find - built over 50 years ago. Mr. Jones thought outside the box in designing this delightful facility which includes twin par 3 holes. Each par 3 hole is actually two parallel holes complete with tees, fairways and greens.
The idea behind this feature was to allow play to move at a more reasonable pace by allowing the faster players to advance ahead of the slower foursomes. Raymond Memorial was the first course in the United States to have such a feature. From the blue tees, this course plays to 6,812 and from the white tees, it plays to 6,424 yards. In addition the course plays to 5,969 from the gold tees and 5,113 from the red tees. All greens are raised and sloped from back to front. They are also large and severely contoured. Sand bunkers protect the front side of all 18 holes. Most holes have two sand bunkers with others strategically placed between the tee and green.
