About Brookside Country Club:

Brookside Country Club is a private, member-owned country club and one of the oldest established clubs in the area, which originally took form as "Lakeside Country Club" in the last decade of the nineteenth century. In 1903, the members of "Lakeside Country Club" bought a casino and began reconstructing a 9-hole golf course located at Myers Lake in Canton, Ohio. In 1917, a move to acquire more land for an additional nine holes was begun, and the search ended in 1920 at the present location. A year later, the famous golf course architect, Donald Ross, designed and built 18 holes of golf. Four clay tennis courts were built that same year. The official opening of Brookside Country Club was celebrated in the summer of 1923 with a gala dinner-dance. The size of the club, its ambience and its dedicated members were the "talk" of Canton.

General Manager Andy Grove, the Club's General Manager since 1999, welcomes you to the most beautiful, prestigious, and family-friendly club in Northeast, Ohio. The finest asset of Brookside Country Club is its membership strongly based on "family" and "tradition." Life-long friendships are made from the golf course to the Grill Room to the swimming pool. Social activities are planned around the Club's demographics including children's Christmas, Halloween, and pool parties; Friday night euchre nights and martini parties; tailgate football parties; ladies card tables; wine dinners; and the elegant black-tie Presidents Ball just to name a few. Today the Club's 400+ members enjoy casual/family and fine dining in one of several dining rooms.
A state-of-the-art Fitness Center offers complete Cybex international equipment, as well certified fitness trainers and a massage therapist. Year-round tennis is played in the indoor tennis courts as well as additional outside clay courts during the summer months. The entire family can enjoy the Olympic-sized swimming pool from Memorial Day until after Labor Day. And, golfers are amazed with the beautiful Donald Ross, award-winning 18-hole golf course. In 2005, Brookside Country Club received the distinguished award from Golf Digest for #1 Renovated Golf Course in America” and has been recognized on Golf Week Magazine’s Top 100 America’s Best Courses since 2000.
