The Yahnundasis is one of the finest golf courses to be found anywhere. It was designed by famed architect Walter J. Travis (1862-1927), the 1900, 1901 and 1903 U.S. Amateur Champion and 1904 British Amateur Champion.
He also designed, among others, Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY, Onondaga Country Club in Syracuse, Orchard Park in Buffalo, Van Cortland Park golf course in the Bronx, Augusta Country Club, the Jekyll Island and Sea Island golf courses (all of Georgia) and Cherry Hill in Canada. Mr. Travis also was a consultant on such famed courses like Pine Valley (with George Crump) and Pinehurst #2 (with Donald Ross).
Our course was constructed in 1924 and is often the host of local, regional and statewide championships. Most recently, the Yahnundasis was the host of the 2007 NYS Men's Amateur Championship.
