The club's Founders nine is the third oldest golf course in the Las Vegas Valley. Its three opening holes, Black Mountain's version of "Amen Corner," will test even the best players' skills. The par-4 second hole measures 430 yards from the back tees and with the prevailing headwind, it plays much longer. The par-3 third hole plays 188 yeards to a small green with treacherous undulations. Black Mountain Golf & Country Club's Desert course opened in 2002 and is a true desert layout and formidable test of accuracy. The Desert's par-4 fourth hole doglegs hard to the left with a desert waste area down both sides. A draw on the tee shot will help avoid the large fairway bunker protecting the right side.
