About Essex Fells Country Club:

The Golf Committee and the Professional Staff strive to maintain the traditions that began when a small group of golf enthusiasts from Essex Fells joined together in 1896 to play a rough layout of nine holes. The golf program provides ample opportunity for both structured and unstructured play for men, women and juniors. The Club is active in the New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) and the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) and hosts competitive events for both men and women. We maintain an exceptional Caddie Program and effortlessly execute a “no-tee-time” policy for weekend morning play.

But what separates Essex Fells is the social spirit and camaraderie engendered by the game of golf. You will see it in the good-natured ribbing on the putting green and hear it in the endless banter of the Grill Room. Show up as a single and you will be welcomed into a group as many foursomes are put together on-the-fly each weekend morning. Stop by on a Wednesday and throw your name “in-the-hat” for weekly impromptu matches. But above all, always expect friendly competition and good company over a solid eighteen holes.
