The Plainfield Country Club golf course, brought to life by famed course architect Donald Ross, has been celebrated as a consistently top-ranked course in the U.S. by Golf Digest and Golfweek magazines, and has been enjoyed by Club members and guests for nearly 100 years.
Over the decades, the Club has proudly hosted two U.S. National Championships – the 1978 U.S. Amateur (won by John Cook) and the 1987 U.S. Women’s Open (won by Laura Davies), in addition to numerous State and Regional Championships.
Plainfield Country Club is currently ranked 25th on Golfweek's roster of America's Greatest Classic courses, 50th in the country by Golf Magazine and 65th in the country by Golf Digest on their list of America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses.
