Thorndale Golf and Country Club is a historic golf course,
carved through the Oak and Pine trees located in the town of Oxford.
The course was built in the 1930s. Thorndale offers a nine holes course which is played from the white tees for the first nine and the blue tees for the back nine holes. The course demands control off the tee with out of bounds marked on 8 of the nine holes. With five holes featuring Greenside water approach shots are equally challenging. Seven of the nine greens are protected by greenside sand traps. Eighteen holes of golf at Thorndale usually leave the player scratching their head wondering why they didn't score better, but realizing
