The golf at Walnut Creek Country Club is by far the finest in the area. The original Ellis Maples course design received a facelift in 1999 after Hurricane Floyd cause significant damage to our surrounding community. Newly shaped greens and surrounding greens areas create a marvelous flow of contour and design. The new greens surfaces are a mix of L-93 and Crenshaw Bent Grass varieties. The greens surfaces, while undulating, are perfectly smooth and a true roll will find its mark.
The yardage from the tips measures 7,053 yards, but you can play from the distance you feel most suits your game as we offer 5 sets of tees to choose from. Our course slope ranges from 132 from the back tees to 117 from the front tees. We have been host to several CGA Amateur Golf events and annually host the Clarence Rose Golfing Fore Kid’s Pro-Am. The club offers a Men’s and Ladies Golf Association as well as a host of member tournaments throughout the year. Junior golfers are always welcome to play, with a few restricted times on the week-end, and we offer several clinics for them to learn the game. Our practice facility boasts a driving range, practice chipping green and putting green. You will find all the necessary practice shots to hone your every golf skill.
