12615 US Highway 15 501,
Aberdeen, North Carolina 28315-4986
The golf course opened in 1991 and has hosted numerous championships including the USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links which was televised nationally on ESPN. The course has long been a local favorite and was recently renovated in the summer of 2011. The renovation project featured the installation of Mini Verde Greens.
The 18 hole course measures just over 7,000 yards from the tips but offers a number of tee options to fit golfers of all playing abilities. In addition to four par threes that collectively are as beautiful and challenging as any you will find in the area, the course’s finishing hole, appropriately nicknamed “The Bear,” was once rated as one of the toughest holes in North Carolina. With that being said, Legacy is a fair test of golf. Most find the course very playable with a number of wonderful vistas.
