About Wawonowin Country Club:

Established in 1896 by mining executives, this semi-private club was located near Historic Downtown Ishpeming. The original clubhouse and course were constructed atop numerous underground mining operations which forced the club and its members to relocate in the late 1960’s due to the possibility of caving ground.
Today, Wawonowin Country Club is owned and governed by its membership, and is located just minutes west of Ishpeming. This hidden gem of Western Marquette County features 18 beautiful and challenging holes of golf, a full service pro shop, bar and restaurant. Our professional and courteous staff strives to ensure your experience with us will bring you back time and again.
