The Golf Club at South River opened its doors as a high end daily fee golf course in 1996. It quickly became one of the most talked about golf courses in the Mid Atlantic region. Over the years the course developed a very loyal following of local golfers. In 2007 the decision was made to convert the course to a private golf club.
The Golf Course at South River began its conversion to a private golf club on May 15, 2008. Since that day we have welcomed over 225 new members. The golf course has undergone much work including the addition of a $1 million practice facility and a $1.5 million golf course renovation. The golf course was made totally private in November of 2011.
A $2.5 million renovation to the clubhouse is currently underway and scheduled to open this fall. The renovation is adding a state of the art fitness center, pro shop with indoor hitting station, massage/treatment room, men's and ladies' lockers and The Adirondack Room, a timber framed banquet facility for parties and events.
