Welcome to a golf-first experience that harkens back to the game's Golden Age. With enhancements one both our historic courses - including a redesign of the Pines Course by the award-winning golf course architectural firm Coore & Crenshaw - we honor the 120-year legacy of golf at this influential club. The Pines course grew in reputation as not only the longest course in the world, but one of the most difficult, due largely to its huge, steep greens and very challenging bunkers. In 1972, Robert Trent Jones coordinated a renovation that included lengthening the course to its current 8,325 yards and softening the greens and bunkers. Mr. Cornish's team returned in 1987 to add some bunkering and redesign the 8th hole, a par-4 with a sharp dogleg left. The dogleg still exists, but the green was moved to the right, closer to the water hazard guarding the right side of the fairway.
The Oaks course was designed in 2000 by Tom Fazio as his first golf course design in New England. The course opened in 2001, along with the golf academy he designed to serve both courses.
STAY AND PLAY: We renovated and re-opened 15 overnight rooms for use by members and their guests and re-envisioned the Great Room as an additional great club room to be enjoyed in a new way. This updated retreat enables members to unwind, hang out and connect beyond the clubhouse or locker room facilities. The new Great Room area is set up as a quiet, relaxing space with the necessary WiFi, seating, and docking stations needed for those hoping to get some work done before or after their round. Our desire is to enable members to utilize the club for their ideal "work from home" solution.
