Green Meadow Country Club is located just outside of Pikeville, Kentucky, in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. The club was founded in 1952.
The original course was designed by Charlie Keyser, a prominent Pikeville businessman who was a nationally recognized amateur player. Mr. Keyser competed against the legendary Bobby Jones and is recognized as the first "Pro" employed by the club.
The club features a nine hole golf course, measuring 3042 yards from the back tees, with a par of 35. The normal routing is to play the blue/black combination for a par of 70. The course also features Ladies, as well as Senior Tee Markers.
The formal course record is a 59, 11 under par, shot by Jimmy Newsome in July 1994. This event was witnessed by Kevin Auton, Ben Cassady and Harold Ray.
