Lakeside Golf Course is a local favorite. The course opened in 1970 and has hosted every local and state event there is. Lakeside was also host to the Senior PGA Tour Monday Qualifier for the Bank Lakeside rainbowOne Classic in 1992. Lakeside features large greens, rolling terrain and 7,200 yards of golf course with Bent greens and Bluegrass tees, fairways and rough. Hole number nine is the longest par 5 in the state at over 600 yards. Amenities at Lakeside include a snack bar, professional golf shop, banquet room for 50 and a full line practice facility that includes two tees and three practice greens. Sitting on Jacobson Lake, the views are spectacular and the golf is challenging.
