About Midlane Country Club:

Ranked as one of Chicagoland’s top 20 by Chicagoland Golf Magazine, the 18-hole, par 71, contemporary design serves to enhance its gently rolling topography. Moderately sloping with accentuating stands of mature oak trees. The championship tees now stretch to 6,848 yards making the course rating 73.4 and 138 slope, a challenge to even the most accomplished golfers.

Bent grass tees and large bluegrass fairways give the course an excellent manicured touch, while various greenside bunkers add to the challenge. Natural, spring fed lakes and creeks come into play on seven holes, the most dramatic falling evenly around the layout at the 6th and 18th holes.

Bob Lohmann designed holes 10 thru 18 and updated the Robert Bruce Harris desiged holes 1 thru 9. From the gold tees the back side measures 3,463 yards, blue tees are 3,254, white play to 3,095 and the ladies tees measure 2,503.

Cut through a heavily wooded area the first three holes are tree lined. The next three holes play along an almost prehistoric estuary, and the final three over rolling terrain. The seventeenth hole gives the avid golfer the opportunity to measure their ability against a replica of Augusta’s legendary twelfth hole, par three. The driving range boasts a 100 x 300 foot bent grass tee which features target greens and bunkered greens, yardage makers help with distance judgement. There is also a practice putting green.

Natural spring watered fairways constantly provide lush, green surroundings. Asphalt paved cart paths and 26 brightly colored flower beds frame the course. A practice green is situated conveniently adjacent to the clubhouse enabling golfers to practice their putting, chipping and bunker shots while waiting for their turn on the first tee.
