The town has a population of more than 33,000 citizens, and it is located within a convenient few hours from Chicago, Indianapolis and St. Louis, making it he perfect place for a getaway. The history of Harrison Park Golf Course in Danville dates back all the way to 1929, when Mr and Mrs. John Higgins Harrison, part owner and editor of the Commercial News, bought the Danville Country Club. Harrison donated the club to the City of Danville in memory of his mother Minta, charging the city only $1.

Golfers have come to Harrison Park Golf Course for more than 82 years, and they all react the same way -- they love our challenging yet relaxing layout. This is an 18-hole, par 72 course, and it features some of the most scenic golf in the region. The North Fork of the Vermilion River winds through the course and the picturesque hills create a backdrop unlike any other in Central Illinois. Our grounds total 235 acres of land, offering several amenities (bird watching, fishing and hiking) but, make no mistake, golf is the real attraction.
