Burnham Woods named after Daniel Burnham, who is credited with developing much of the structure of the City of Chicago, has some of the biggest cottonwood trees in the state. Located in southeastern Cook County this course’s small greens, mature trees, and meandering streams makes for an excellent golfing experience. The 18-hole "Burnham Woods" course at the Burnham Woods Golf Course facility in Burnham, Illinois features 6,321 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 69.5 and it has a slope rating of 110 on Blue grass. Burnham Woods golf course opened in 1925.
