The true country club experience first came to Ames, Iowa in 1911. That's when the Ames Golf & Country Club debuted, originally a 9-hole course with a clubhouse and swimming pool, located just south of the city. These days, the club sits upon 164 gorgeous acres just north of Ames. The facility includes a well-manicured golf course, a heated pool, a wading pool and two tennis courts.
