Champions Retreat Golf Club is a 27-hole golf club located just minutes from the golf capital of the world – Augusta, Georgia. This championship golf course brings together three of the greatest names in the game – Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player. These championship courses, combined with charming amenities, provide members and their guests a truly unique experience not easily found in the United States today. Three great golf legends came together and each set out to design nine signature holes of championship golf on a masterful course to be sculpted from the foundation of nearly twelve hundred faultless acres of skyward Georgia pines, long-standing hardwoods and numerous wetlands along the great Savannah River in an area to be known as Champions Retreat. Gary Player chose the 1999 Masters Champions Dinner as his setting to recruit Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer to share in his dream of a 27-hole, private golf club located in the golf capital of the world – Augusta, Georgia. The golf heritage and reputation at Champions Retreat for world-class play has been acknowledged by our selection as the host course for the first 36 holes of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. This prestigious new tournament premiered in 2019, with Jennifer Kupcho claiming the inaugural ANWA championship trophy during an exciting final round at Augusta National Golf Club.
