About Port Charlotte Golf Club:

The Port Charlotte Golf Club was purchased in 2004 by the members of the Punta Gorda Country Club. The Punta Gorda course was purchased by a developer and is no longer being used as a golf course.

A complete renovation of the Port Charlotte Golf Course was completed in 2005. It included a complete rebuild of the clubhouse. The course itself was redesigned and new tiff eagle greens were added. Many of the trees were lost during 'Hurricane Charley" in August of 2004. Since then, and as part of the upgrades to the course, there have been many new plantings included and several of the holes were completely redesigned.

The result has been tried and tested by many local golfers as well as our many visitors from the North each year since. The many comments have proven that the course is in the best shape it has ever been. The greens are the best in the area. The overall result is something that we are very proud of.

We are also very proud to announce that we have been voted best in Charlotte County by the readers of the Charlotte Sun-Herald Newspapers. We have the honor of being BEST GOLF COURSE, BEST DRIVING RANGE, AND BEST GOLF SHOP. This is the fifth year in a row that we were voted to be the Best Golf Course in Charlotte County.
