River Wilderness Golf and Country Club is a private, member-owned Club located in the Sarasota/Manatee County area. The Club borders the North shore of the historic Manatee River just off Interstate 75. Although the course is hidden in the wilderness it is still convenient to both Sarasota and Tampa Bay areas. As secluded as it feels it is only a short 10 minute ride from I-75. It is a gated and gorgeous golf and boating community. The golf course, designed by Ted McAnlis, is situated on 150 acres of pristine landscape and is a part of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System which blends the property’s natural beauty with an abundance of wildlife.
The beautiful 27,000 square foot Clubhouse boasts a myriad of activities to suit everyone's needs. Art classes, a choir, card groups, and group trips are just some of the social activities available. Daily lunch and weekly dining, along with specialty theme events provide ample dining experiences.
The 3,800 square foot Athletic Center offers outstanding fitness, tennis and swimming programs that are geared to the beginner as well as the advanced athlete looking for a healthy lifestyle.
