Orange Park, Florida 32073
In a world of cookie cutter courses the Country Club of Orange Park truly offers something for every player. From the five sets of tees it's a longish yet challenging layout for all players, yet length alone is not enough. The numerous hazards and wetlands make almost every shot a strategic decision, leaving few clubs in your bag untouched by the end of the round.
The par 72 layout boasts tree-lined fairways with water hazards on 14 of the 18 holes. There are numerous wetland areas, yet the greens are generously proportioned to accommodate both the average and exceptional player! While it's tough to single out special holes on this all star layout; if we had to pick, the 416 yard, par 4, fourth hole, is a challenging test that features a difficult drive protected by water on the left and hazard on the right. The lengthy second shot must be played to a well protected green over water. The seventh is another standout hole, a par 5, measuring at 540 yards from the tips. It can be hit in two but only if you circumvent a large pond short and right of the well bunkered green. On the back nine the 222 yard, par 3 eleventh hole is all you want. The 18th, although short at just 387 yard from the tips will settle many a bet with water running down the entire left of the fairway then sweeping right across and past the well bunkered green. Country Club of Orange Park is truly a course for all level of players and ages.
