Cypress Woods Golf and Country Club first opened in 1999. In 2001 renowned Florida architect Gordon G. Lewis returned to fine-tune his creation and make it more playable than it had been in the past.
During the renovation fairways were widened, while brush and palmettos were cleared out in a number of areas to make more recovery shots possible out of the rough. The cypress heads, pine forests, rolling fairways, elevated greens and tees remain to create a natural flow that will carry you away from the tensions of modern life into the world of golf. You’ll be playing your way through wetland areas that are protected nature preserves.
