About Verandah Golf Club:

Verandah's golf courses were created in a way that compliment the landscape: treelines were preserved, waterways went untouched. And with this devotion to the natural surrounding came some of America's most famous courses including Winged Foot, Oakmont and Pinehurst. From these old-world visions rise two prominent golf courses at Verandah, Old Orange and Whispering Oak.

Old Orange, Verandah's first 18-hole championship golf course, opened in late 2003, along with the Golf House Pro Shop. Inspired by the spectacular oak trees throughout the site, award-winning golf course architect Bob Cupp created Old Orange in the image of timeless, classical courses that were created in the 1910s and 1920s.

Opened in January 2007, Verandah's Whispering Oak "has evolved into something unique, interesting and entertaining," says Jack Nicklaus II, who designed the course with his father, Jack Nicklaus. This breathtaking new challenge features amazing fairway vistas and compact greens that inspire every golfer to play like a champion. Whispering Oak is a handsome companion to Verandah's Old Orange championship golf course, incorporating many natural elements in the flow of the course. You'll never grow tired of this golf experience.
