White Clay Creek Country Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Wilmington, Delaware.
White Clay Creek Country Club opened for play in 2005. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
White Clay is not for the faint of heart. The course has an endless parade of forced creek carries. With Five sets of tees, and a bit of humility, you'll be able to select a reasonable challenge. One of the intersting aspects of the course...their pins don't have flags on them. They have jockey helmets, appropriate because of the ajacent horse race track, The Delaware Park track. On #11 and 12, you can hear the announcer reporting the afternoon's race.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,007 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,612 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 593 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 183 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 491 yard par-3 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. # 6 features a 250-yard clear from the raised back, back tees. That's right, a 250-yard forced carry right off the tee. It's a huge brush and vegetation expanse rising out of a marshy creek tributary. All you see is the tall stalks in the air. If you don't hear a splash, you may have a ball in play. The easiest hole at White Clay Creek is # 17, the 183 yard par-3
