Creating a championship mountain golf course is a bit more involved than merely putting 18 holes in a mountain meadow. When award-winning architect Jim Engh designed the Snowmass Club golf course, he took cues from the ranching families that had inhabited these valleys for a century. The result was a course with majestic views, challenging landscapes, and sensitivity to the land and the sky above it. Fellow members attempt to conquer the traditional Irish links course as it and twists around a Rocky Mountain landscape, creating an infinity of playing possibilities. The fairways are sculpted, the greens are challenging, and the bunkers are downright frightening. This course isn’t one you’ll soon master, or forget. With five sets of tees, novices and pros alike are guaranteed an adventure.
