Cherokee Creek Golf Club is a Public , 9 hole golf course located in Booneville, Arkansas.
Cherokee Creek Golf Club first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Witt Tatum. The course opened as a nine hole layout. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 2002.
Cherokee Creek Golf Club opened as a nine hole facility winding in and around the woodland along the ditches and creeks of the current front nine. Cherokee Creek's greatest test takes place while playing holes #3 through #9. The fairways are extremely narrow due to the thick growth of trees growing alongside. The moderate-size greens are firm, so even iron shots may be difficult to hold. Water hazards (streams and creeks) come into play on several holes. The signature hole is #7, a 365-yard, par 4, requires a veryaccurate tee shot up a narrow fairway, then an approach over water to an elevated green. #15 and 16 challenge you with blind tee shots. #18 is a long par-5 with a tight approach to the finishing green guarded by large oak trees.
